{"id":634,"date":"2022-02-15T12:53:29","date_gmt":"2022-02-15T12:53:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.democracyandpuppetry.eu\/?p=634"},"modified":"2022-02-16T09:41:38","modified_gmt":"2022-02-16T09:41:38","slug":"learning-about-and-exploring-democracy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.democracyandpuppetry.eu\/?p=634&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"LEARNING ABOUT AND EXPLORING DEMOCRACY"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Gledali\u0161\u010de DELA\/Theatre WORKS and the Ravne Secondary School in Slovenia are already using innovative teaching materials for democracy education presented by the Vienna Forum for Democracy and Human Rights (Vienna, Austria).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All the knowledge gained guided the search for the main theme for the puppet show at the end of this project. During the workshops, Katja Vravnik, Nina Stopar and Tea Kov\u0161e led a group of students through various democratic role plays on the themes of identity, labour rights and hate speech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Together with the students, we are writing the script for the final puppet show. Meanwhile, the iron puppet that will be the main actor in the performance is already being forged and welded in the workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><a
